Street Violence in Surabaya

I was walking at Djoko Dolog when i heard someone screaming "HEEEEEEELP !" and saw three big guy punching a bussinessman on the ground. The three big guy was about two meters tall. And then i just ran there and tried to stop them punching the bussinessman. while i shouted to one of them, the other two hit me at my back using a stick made of steel. then i feel half concious. the three big guy then ran away. and while i was lying on the ground, the bussinessman called the ambulance. two months later i saw the three big guy again and i really feel bitter because i heard that they only served short prison sentences.

I was walking on a small road, when suddenly I heard someone screaming, I went to see what happened and then I saw a robber running towards me, I hit him in the face and he fainted. Then I took a purse from him and searched for the woman, who screamed. But suddenly I heard someone shout at me and then a lot of people came and started to hit me. After awhile I tried to explain to them what really happened, after that they just said sorry and left.

Hello

I wanted to tell you about Surabaya right now. Surabaya is the city where I was born.

Surabaya is the second largest city in Indonesia. It is also the capital city of East Java. Surabaya is known as “the city of heroes”. It is because the war that our city have done a long time ago. On the 10^th of November we celebrated Heroes’ Day, it is to make us remember to our heroes a long time ago who risk their life to defend our city at the war. Not only that, we also have the Heroes monument to remember that incident.

Surabaya is a really nice city too. It has many kinds of food you can enjoy and also a lot of malls such as Plaza Tunjungan, Galaxy Mall, Surabaya Plaza, Supermall Pakuwon Indah, Royal Plaza Surabaya, etc.

Surabaya also have many other interesting place and a zoo too, the zoo called Bonbin Surabaya/Surabaya zoo and the other place are Mpu Tantular museum which has a large collection of ancient Java artifacts, Grand Mosque of Surabaya, Cheng Ho mosque which is the first mosque in Indonesia built with a Chinese style architecture, Jales Veva Jaya Mahe Monument, a large, admiral-like statue which commemorates the Indonesian Navy, Heroic Monument which is the main symbol and one of the attractive tourist destination in Surabaya and Southeast Asia.

Surabaya also have one of the biggest event in Indonesia, it is the DBL (Deteksi Basketball League). In this event many school sent their basketball team to compete against other. The participants are from Junior High School and Senior High School. If you like basketball, you should come and see it. The event usually being held on August.

Surabaya has a soccer team, Persebaya Surabaya. The team home base is Gelora 10 November stadium. It also have a basketball team, CLS Knight which is one of the strongest team in IBL (Indonesian Basketball League)
